Easy (maybe) solution: Develop and bring the entire Prius family to India, and utilize the name that the Prius c uses in Japan for the whole lineup.
Aqua - Prius c
Aqua Prime/Prime PHEV - Prius
Aqua+ - Prius a/v

Oh so they can sell the car they just have to use a different name. It’s not that unusual for cars to have different names in different markets. Although it’s usually just for marketing reasons not do to trademark problems
